I visited Machu Picchu 40 years ago, on my way home from living in Brazil. I also spent a few days in Montevideo the previous year.<br/><br/>My husband and I are considering living in Uruguay. We've been reading up on the country and expats living there. I will have to read more of your blog. We are retired but have an elderly parent who will not move abroad with us, so it may be a while until we can actually do it.
